What this bot does

It watches 12 large, well-known stocks (Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, Google, Meta, Tesla, Broadcom, JPMorgan, Eli Lilly, Exxon and Visa) for a classic "buy the dip in an uptrend" pattern:

  • Uptrend check — the stock's price is above its own 200-day average.
  • Dip check — it just cooled off sharply in the short term (a 2-day "how oversold is this" score below 10).
  • When both are true, that's an entry signal — a buy the bot would place, if it were placing trades.
  • A holding gets an exit signal once it's bounced back (that same score climbs above 70) or after 10 trading days, whichever comes first.
  • It only tracks up to 4 positions at a time, and it checks once each trading morning.

Right now it's in shadow mode: every day it writes down what it would have bought or sold, purely to prove the strategy out over time. It has no connection to a broker and cannot place a real (or even paper) trade — think of it as a research log, not a live bot.
